Double Materiality Analysis
A double materiality analysis identifies topics that have impact on the business value, as well as topics that might have material impact on society and the environment.
In 2022, Statkraft in collaboration with BSR, sustainability business network and consultancy, completed a double materiality analysis.The criteria for assessing impact on society and the environment were set by global standards (e.g. GRI, CSRD), while criteria for assessing impact on business leverage were based on Statkraft’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
We use the insight from the materiality analysis to continue to work to develop Statkraft’s sustainability strategy and reporting, adopting a strategic approach on the most material topics.
